The Power to Be Well

"We feel you have provided new insight and hope to people who feel alone and lost in their quest for health and contentment in dealing with their diabetes. You have surely motivated and inspired many to find ways to improve their quality of life."

"I know you hear this all the time, but you have a very special gift. In a short amount of time you have the ability to touch people deeply. We have received calls all week from people telling us they enjoyed the program and have a new sense of hope."

The Power to Be Well® is an award-winning program for a wide variety of audiences that grew out of the movement toward consumer-driven health initiatives.  It inspires people to take charge of their health by discovering their own power to be well.  Typically, the program is offered by corporations, managed care companies, consumer groups and associations interested in improving the health and well-being of their employees, clients or members. The Power to Be Well Program can be re-titled and/or customized to fit the needs of any audiences. Contact Cathy Feste for more information.

A Case for Disease Prevention and Management

Escalating health care costs mandate an investment in the prevention and management of chronic diseases. Diabetes and heart disease are two of the most costly and pervasive chronic diseases in America. Diabetes is called “the epidemic of our time” by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Power to Be Well® is a clinically-proven approach for individuals to manage diabetes.

The American Diabetes Association asked Cathy Feste to write 365 Daily Meditations for People with Diabetes, which they published in 2004. Why? Because people with diabetes were constantly telling them, “We know how to poke our fingers, take medication, follow a meal plan and exercise. We need help coping.”
